Sharon A. Dana Joins the Ranks of Leading Motivational Speakers
Sharon A. Dana is the voice behind the Olympia-based Tuff Kookie Productions

OLYMPIA, WA, April 27, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Sharon A. Dana, Owner of Tuff Kookie Productions, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in motivational speaking.

A native of Zwolle, Louisiana, Sharon A. Dana lived what seemed to be a life in transition. Adopting a nomadic lifestyle, she traveled with her mother, brother and grandparents, and lived in southern California and San Jose before eventually settling in Washington. Sharon, a mother of three, notes that she had always been surrounded by family of some sort until she and her husband of 27 years divorced, leaving her on her own. She cites this separation as being a turning point in her life, which tested the strength of her spirit and taught her invaluable lessons about emotional strength and empowerment.

Sharon initially found her voice through membership with Toastmasters International. Self-described as independent, out-spoken, self-driven and determined, she channeled her energy into establishing Tuff Kookie Productions, through which she serves as a motivational speaker and creative communicator. In addition to group seminars, Sharon provides team consultations to offer advice and tips on establishing better communication. Unorthodox by nature, she takes not only an encouraging approach to her lectures but a humorous one as well—utilizing stand-up comedy to "ignite creative thinking." Sharon always uses her life experiences as a base for her presentations. She is renowned for her lectures on overcoming obstacles, making life changes and moving forward following difficult or traumatic events. Says Sharon of her public speaking:

"I feel alive and grateful for the opportunity to share. When I speak, I have a message to share and I demonstrate the message through my personal experiences and overcoming many obstacles in my own way. I know that my stories will reach others that need to hear me and connect with me, to change their circumstance for something better. I am dynamic, sincere, and effective through my communication and listening skills. My audience is engaged in my presentations and I feel connected."

Sharon is currently in the midst of developing the "Tell It to Dana on the Tuff Kookie Radio Show," which will soon air on Alternative Talk 1150AM KKNW. She remains affiliated with Toastmasters International, through which she received the Division Governor of the Year Award on two occasions and the President's Distinguished Division Award. Sharon is also an affiliate of her local chamber of commerce and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She resides in Olympia and enjoys singing, dancing, traveling and writing in her free time.
