COLUMBUS, GA, October 4, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Doretha Presley-Benson, Lead Mentor Teacher at Waddell Elementary School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

With 25 years of professional of professional experience as a school counselor, school administrator, and mentor teacher, Dr. Presley-Benson attributes her success to the support she receives from people she has met throughout her career; her family and especially, her great aunt. As a lead mentor teacher, she is responsible for mentoring teachers and students in a self-contained setting. She has provided educational workshops in the United States and abroad. She is a member of The Professional Association of Georgia Educators.

Dr. Presley-Benson received her Ph.D. in educational leadership and human services from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, and her specialist in school counseling from Troy University with an endorsement in school administration. She also received her Master's Degree in school counseling from Troy University in 1996 and a Bachelor of Science in education from Columbus State University in 1985. In 1980 she received an associate degree in business management from the University of Hawaii. She has certification for early childhood and school leadership in the States of Georgia and Alabama. Her certification for school counseling is in the State of Alabama.
