HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA, October 4, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Roy E. Smoker, Col, USAF (Ret), Senior Technical Director of Space Programs for MCR, LLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in space program management.

With 30 years of professional experience, Dr. Smoker is the senior technical director of space programs for MCR, LLC. He creates, designs, and develops cost models for new systems, mentors and trains junior personnel. MCR, LLC is an integrated program management company that provides strategic planning, cost and schedule analysis, acquisition management and program assessment solutions. Prior to joining the company, he worked as the director of finance and comptroller for the United States Air Force buying space assets for the nation. He also teaches project cost management courses at the University of California, Irvine.

Dr. Smoker received a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Missouri and completed The Executive Management Course at Defense Systems Management College, Defense Acquisition University. He is a member of the Society of Cost Estimating and Analysis, the Project Management Institute, Inc., the American Society of Military Comptrollers and the International Society of Parametric Analysts. In 1984, he obtained a Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and he attributes his success to his diligence is pursuing each objective along the way.
