Dawn Calandra Showcases Professional Brand through Cambridge Who's Who
Dawn Calandra is pursuing a second master's degree at Northern Kentucky University

AUGUSTA, KY, November 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dawn Calandra, Teacher at Augusta Independent Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

Ms. Calandra was inspired to become involved in education by one of her teachers in high school. She is highly skilled in family and consumer science specializing in culinary arts. At Augusta Independent Schools, she is charged with coaching the ladies golf and "life smarts" teams. She also advises and sponsors the senior class, the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) and the Future Educators Association (FEA). Her drive and love for working with children have led her to success.

In 2008, Ms. Calandra graduated from Northern Kentucky University. She holds a master's degree in English as a second language and is pursuing a second master's degree in educational leadership. The former regional president of Kentucky Association of Teachers of Family and Consumer Science (KATFACS) and a member of NATFACS, she belongs to the Association for Career and Technical Education, Teachers of English to Speakers of other Languages (TESOL) and the Golden Key International Honour Society. She was recognized by Campbellsville University as a Teacher of Excellence in 2009. Eventually, Ms. Calandra intends to earn a doctoral degree.
