Martha Lawter to be Profiled in Exclusive Registry
Martha Lawter is the recipient of a Master of Education in elementary education

WICHITA, KS, December 20, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Martha Lawter, M.Ed., Second-Grade Teacher for Jackson Elementary School of Wichita Public Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in elementary education.

An educator for 28 years, Ms. Lawter is an expert in establishing rapport with children. She has had experience teaching fifth- and sixth-grade students in Kansas, including a 10-year term at Wilson Elementary School, before settling at Jackson Elementary School as a second-grade teacher. For the past 15 years, she has taught every subject, created lesson plans, evaluated student work and learning, and participated in parent-teacher conferences.

Ms. Lawter had the desire to become a teacher at an early age. Inspired by her grandparents, both teachers, she completed a Master of Education in elementary education at Wichita State University. She is also a certified reading specialist through Wichita State University. She has participated in a program on English for speakers of other languages and belongs to the United Teachers Association.

Grateful for the support of her family, Ms. Lawter plans to conduct consulting work or teach at the university level in the near future. She is an advancement chairwoman for the Boy Scouts of America and has been given the Cross and Flame Award for her work.
