As Principal of Higher Ground Christian School for 10 years, Mr. Smith has consistently demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best. He was Principal of a similar school in British Columbia for 15 years.

The Higher Ground Christian School is a religious educational establishment. Their staff is dedicated to providing quality education in a Christ-filled environment. The school exists to show children Jesus, nurture their love for Him and others, teach them to think and empower them to serve. The Higher Ground Christian School is operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church to provide a spiritually oriented education for children.

Mr. Smith is responsible for managing all major aspects of the school as well as overseeing the daily operations, staying on target for educational goals, and overseeing the program of teaching English as a Second Language that is offered in the school. During his educational career, Wayne earned a Master's degree in Education from La Sierra University. In the time away from his busy schedule, he greatly enjoys gardening, tennis, softball, and hiking.
