As General Manager of Volunteering Gold Coast for the past 10 years, Richard has routinely demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be successful in the business world.

Established in 1998, Volunteering Gold Coast is an organization involved in the recruiting, training and supporting of volunteers and volunteer organizations. Their mission is to develop and strengthen volunteering on the Gold Coast for the mutual benefit of the individual and the community. Volunteering Gold Coast forms an integral part of the Gold Coast community by providing volunteers to over 350 community organizations.

Mr. Patterson has worked as a Manager and General Manager in the volunteering sector for the last 10 years. He was responsible for setting up Volunteering Tweed as a Volunteer Resource Centre in northern NSW and during its second year of operation won the Tweed Business Excellence Awards. Under his exceptional leadership, the organization has grown tenfold and won both the Queensland and Australian Prime Ministers Awards for Excellence in Community Business partnerships.
