Barbara Ferguson Recognized for Excellence in Education
Barbara Ferguson instructs 150 students in mathematics and social skills at Clark County School District
LAS VEGAS, NV, September 2, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Barbara Ferguson, Teacher at Clark County School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in mathematics instruction.
With 35 years of field experience, Ms. Ferguson became involved in her profession through her desire to aid school systems in student improvement. At Clark County School District, she is responsible for instructing 150 students in mathematics and social skills. Formerly, she taught high school mathematics, as well as second, third, seventh and eighth grade in the state of Washington. The most rewarding aspect of Ms. Ferguson's career is receiving gratitude from her former students who have made it to college, but never expected to.
In 1975, Ms. Ferguson graduated from Eastern Washington University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics. A member of the Washington Education Association, she is the former president of the Enumclaw Education Association. In the future, Ms. Ferguson hopes to help her students develop nonverbal communication skills.
