As Director of Chaplains Without Borders, as well as throughout his brilliant professional career, James has routinely demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.

Established in 2005, Chaplains without Borders is an interfaith chaplaincy service that works across religious as well as geographical and professional borders, providing corporate-based chaplaincy initiatives. Their chaplains come from a wide range of backgrounds, all having an interest in spirituality and the welfare of others. Since the organization's inception, they have helped approximately 200,000 people to overcome work and family issues covering over 22 workplace sites.

Father James is one of Melbourne's most innovative priests, with experience within Australia extending to senior chaplaincies at Geelong Grammar, St Michaels' Grammar and the Peninsula School. His work within the Diocese of Melbourne is as team leader of the newly formed Jika Jika parish which embraces Melbourne's northern suburbs of Preston and Reservoir and includes a significant population of Sudanese refugees and newly arrived Australians.

During his collegiate career, James earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Graduate Diploma in Counseling from the Cairn Miller Institute. He also earned a Graduate Diploma in Islamic Studies from the University of New England. James is a member of the Australian College of Education, Australian Institute of Company Directors, and the Society of the Holy Cross.
