Gaila J. Mitchell Plays In The Key Of Stanford Who's Who
Stanford Who's Who welcomes Gaila J. Mitchell to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of her exceptional effort in the Education Industry.

HUMBLE, TX, June 11, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who welcomes Gaila J. Mitchell to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of her exceptional effort in the Education Industry. As Director of Bands for the Houston Independent School District and Owner of Queen Musique Productions, as well as throughout her brilliant professional career, Gaila has routinely demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.

Gaila is responsible for breathing life into music programs in inner-city schools that are on the brink of extinction and turning them into functional, working programs. She teaches students, gives private lessons, and helps in mentoring young band directors. She also plays in a jazz band and she is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association.

Gaila also served as the solo flautist for the documentary film, Thunder Soul, for which she won an award at the Heartland Music Festival. The movie, Thunder Soul, was the winner of a Crystal Award as well. Jamie Foxx was recently added to the film as an Executive Producer and it will be released in theaters in September, 2011.
