Established in 1954, the Ambitious City Toastmasters Club is an enthusiastic group who enjoy the challenge of developing exceptional communication and leadership skills. Every member, whether new or well-seasoned, is of vital importance to the benefits that all members acquire through their fun and enjoyable learning model. They specialize in teaching communication skills, public speaking, motivational speaking, and keynote addresses.

Mr. Harfield possesses extensive expertise in public speaking with a special emphasis on "Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for the Prevention of Relapse into Depression" as well as the presentation "Communication & Leadership," which is a presentation to review the premise that almost all things are negotiable in life, but communication and leadership is not negotiable.

During his educational career, David earned Distinguished Toastmaster Certification and he is an Honors Information Systems Technician, Flight Service Specialist which he earned through the Transport Canada Training Institute. Mr. Harfield has been the recipient of numerous awards for his service with the Toastmasters, including Advanced Communicator Bronze, Competent Leader, Advanced Leader Silver, Advanced Leader Bronze, Advanced Communicator Gold, Leadership Excellence, and Advanced Toastmaster Bronze.
