Stanford Who's Who welcomes Doris E. Stirm to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of her extraordinary effort in the Arts.

BURLINGAME, CA, July 22, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who welcomes Doris E. Stirm to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of her extraordinary effort in the Arts. As an Artist and Art Teacher, as well as throughout her brilliant 50 plus year professional career, Doris has routinely demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.

Doris has been teaching art for over 45 years. She enjoys teaching pastels, oil painting, and watercolor in her own studio. Doris takes great joy in the process of painting, seeing it as a wonderful therapy and a constant learning process. She feels incredibly blessed to have the ability to truly see the beauty around her.

During her collegiate career, Doris attended the College of San Mateo, earned a Bachelor's degree from Stanford University, and completed Graduate work at San Francisco State University. She served as past President of the Society of Western Artists. In addition, Doris was the recipient of a Diamond Award for teaching from the San Mateo County Arts Commission.
